The Bicicletorama is a 4-player game using the duality between real and virtual, mobile and static to show the conflict between bicycles and automobiles on the streets of Brazil.
Each player controls his virtual bicycle while riding and steering a real bicycle. Objects positioned within the projection area will determine the obstacles of race track and each player must avoid the obstacles in order to go all the route.
As a co-founder of the project, I programmed the physics system with Box2D. But the work of the team consisted of more than just programming, it included production, business, visual design and marketing.
We also showcase Bicicletorama in Insert and Convescote events as an open design project.
The project was funded by a crowdfunding platform Catarse in 2012 and remains alive until today with constant improvement.
